You wouldn't believe the trials I went through to have these lip glosses in my possession. I'd save you from the lengthy tale from my ego and just get to the review/swatches ...
Packaging: L'Oreal lipgloss packaging is pretty. Instead of the black and gold caps - the new lip gloss caps are silver. The overall look is chic and fresh in its vibe and appeal.
Left to Right - I Soar, I Escalate, I Assert |
The Formula: Smooth, non-sticky, has a soft gloss look, mildly cooling feel and lightly sweet peppermint scent (very faint). The formula is nice - very easy to wear and comfortable.
The Shades: Honestly, the shades I bought appear very similar but, there are subtle differences. I Soar is a pastel baby pink that gives a wearable "milky lip nude" on the lips and has extremely superfine bright fuchsia sparkles. Don't worry, the shimmer isn't gritty or outlandishly sparkly but, you can notice it when you look closely at the tube or on your lips in the sunlight. I Escalate is a classic brownish pink nude with absolutely no shimmer. I Assert is a gentle pink with superfine golden shimmers
The Price: At £9.99 each - it's reasonable. Personally, I ended up getting 2 lip glosses from Lookfantastic as a goodwill gesture (thanks!) because of delivery dramas - so, whilst it's great to have backups ... the whole issues I had with my postal service was kinda more costly for me but, at least I learnt a valuable lesson - when possible buy it in-store. No shade to the companies I bought from though (Lookfantastic and Superdrugs) they sorted my problems out well!
My Feels: I like them.
